Seeing Sociology

For this assignment, students were asked to create a visual-based PowerPoint presentation. Within a group, students took photographs that illustrate ten different sociological concepts from course modules. 

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this assignment, students should be able to:·         

• • Identify sociological concepts using real-world examples.

  • Defend their selection of photograph and caption as sociological

  • Create a PowerPoint presentation using images

  • Demonstrate the conventions of social media, in this case, Twitter (X)

  • Demonstrate visual literacy skills.

  • Develop concise communication skills by summarizing or paraphrasing sociological concepts.
